At the time of reading this you might already be familiar of the 5-piece emo group A Brief Memoir out of northern Texas with their debut album release on Rite Field Records coming out a few weeks ago but this release is to show you where they started on this journey and how the group has evolved since 2023 when Joseph Adame was its sole member.

The band is quintessential midwest emo with quiet-LOUD-quiet structures that constantly keep you on your toes weaving elements of slowcore, shoegaze, revival emo, and loose math rock jamming while never allowing itself to be boxed into one specific genre which is what makes them so special to us.

This release sees physicals being made (for the first & last time) of the bands first two EPs - Ode to Raul & Two Songs - both showcasing the foundation the band has built off for their debut album. Been talking with Jonah about wanting to do something special for these batch of songs for over a year it seems and we finally got to get them into the world so we hope you can feel the love & care that was put into this by all of us.
