Darkle was a emo math rock band from New Lenox, Illinois active from 2015-2019 consisting of Matt, Dean, Chris & Andrew. From the ashes of Morning Effort raised Darkle who took the best parts of twinkly emo tapping riffs and traditional screamo energy into emotionally charged sing alongs in your car at the top of your lungs. Songs this sad shouldn't sound so fun but Matt's poetic lyrics are what take the songs to another level with themes of grief, addiction, and just trying to make sense through the confusion during the inevitable ups & downs of life. This release is in honor of Matt through the love of the many people who remember them as a friend or enjoyed their various music projects which you can find on youtube/bandcamp: Darkle, Morning Effort, Celebrity Pets, (Amy Bruce) Spaceshow, and Parker Luck. They touched so many peoples lives and we hope this is a way to not only preserve their art but their memory too.
